Northville, Michigan, March 17, 2026 – Tenneco’s Monroe Ride Solutions (MRS) business has received the 2025 Digital Transformation of the Year “Challenger” Award for a revolutionary, data-driven engineering capability that has accelerated product development and validation timelines by up to 12 weeks and reduced engineering costs by nearly 50%. The Digital Transformation of the Year program is part of the global Digital Engineering Awards program, which honors businesses and leaders who have achieved breakthroughs in mobility, sustainability, AI, and other areas of technology. MRS joined Nvidia Corp., Stanley Black & Decker, Komatsu, Estée Lauder, and several other technology leaders in receiving awards during the program’s March 12 gala in Boston.
Monroe Ride Solutions was honored for its “Anti-roll Bar Bracket Digital Twin” project, which reimagined engineering development and validation by shifting from slow, prototype-heavy processes to a data-driven, digitally integrated approach. Connecting simulation, testing, and product lifecycle management into a single ecosystem, the digital twin allows MRS engineers to access validated performance data, standardized component classifications, and reusable design insights. Through this approach, the team dramatically reduced development and validation timelines while also cutting costs through reuse of validated components and minimizing the number of design iterations.
This is the second MRS initiative to be honored by the Digital Engineering Awards program. The business’s “Accelerating Suspension Development Through Neural Networks” project, through which MRS engineers utilize neural network-based simulation models to dramatically streamline and enhance the development of suspension dampers, was finalist for the 2024 Digital Transformation of the Year Award.
“These and other transformational initiatives have established Tenneco and Monroe Ride Solutions as a premier partner to vehicle and equipment manufacturers worldwide,” said John Kinnick, vice president and general manager, MRS.
Nominations for the Digital Engineering Awards were open to product companies, manufacturers, and OEMs worldwide. The annual program is sponsored by L&T Technology Services Limited, a leading global digital engineering and R&D company; Information Services Group (ISG); and business news channel CNBC TV18 in India.
Monroe Ride Solutions, a business unit of Tenneco’s Performance Solutions segment, supplies two broad portfolios of innovative vehicle suspension solutions to leading global OEMs: Monroe Intelligent Suspension semi-active and adaptive suspension technologies; and Monroe OE Solutions passive dampers and valve systems.
